Explore our identity
The Cameroonian Society of Ophthalmology (SCO) is a non-profit professional organization established in 1983 by a group of Cameroonian ophthalmologists. It is a learned society that brings together ophthalmologists, technicians, and nurses specialized in ophthalmic care, orthoptists, and optometrists with the aim of promoting eye health. The SCO currently has over 200 full members and nearly 175 associate members.
Our roadmap to radiant eye health
- The grouping of all eye health professionals practicing in Cameroon ;
- The promotion of research in ophthalmology and exchanges with other scientific societies ;
- The promotion of continuing professional development ;
- The fight against blindness ;
- The harmonization and improvement of eye care ;
- The development of consensus management of various pathologies.
